Happy grading starts with assessment design.
In this discussion-based workshop, we will reflect on assessment, and how a mindful approach to designing assignments can lead to both stronger student outcomes and more rewarding faculty experiences in grading. Focusing on developing student metacognition, we’ll consider the possibilities in self-assessment, peer grading, “ungrading.”
Instructors are welcome to bring assessments that they are refining, as well as stories of their challenges and successes.
